Organized by the Christian Association for the Promotion of Sports, Recreation and Tourism - titled "Kup Karmel", from July 1 to July 3, 2011 in Medjugorje a pilgrimage of families with three or more children took place. Thanks to donors who helped that the price stays low for the families, the main organizer of the pilgrimage, Mr. Robert Rukavina (father of seven children) managed to achieve its goal, which was as he said: "to enable every family that wants to come complete with their children, without fear how much bus seats will their children take or beds in accommodation, without fear of controlling them during gatherings or mass celebrations.”
Around 160 participants (more than half were children of all ages) for three days meetings they had a meeting with Marija Pavlovic - Lunetti, prayed at the Apparition Hill, visited the St. Francis Garden in the "Mother‘s Village", participated in the prayer program of the parish, and all together was rounded by the Sunday celebration of Holy Mass at 11 am in the church of Medjugorje led by Fr Mika Stojic. In his sermon in the name of the Church, Fr Mika confirmed that married couples are not abnormal because they live their conjugal love, and they have "more" children .That with their openness toward life and willingness to sacrifice, those families are on the God side and should be supported and continually encouraged to continue to live a fruitful love and the Gospel.
