The Association "JOB" and volunteers of the Association "Stepinac’s oasis of peace" from Zapresic organized a pilgrimage to Medjugorje for the homeless, beggars and poorest from November 13 to November 14, 2010.
The pilgrimage was organized during two days. The first day, on Saturday, they attended the evening program in the St. Jacob’s Church, the second day, on Sunday, after the Mass, there was a tour of the sanctuary, prayer on the Apparition Hill and a visit to Mother's village and Francis garden. There, the pilgrims found out something about the major projects of the late Father Slavko Barbaric.
Association "Job" allowed free transportation, free accommodation and meals to those special pilgrims thanks to four beautiful Medjugorje families who offered them their pensions. President of the Association JOB, reverend Dargutin Goricanec was a spiritual pilgrimage companion, so that prayer and spiritual 4-wheels renewal fulfilled the whole way to Medjugorje and their return to Zagreb.
Otherwise Association "Job" is a humanitarian non-profit association for the conceptualization of life for the persons with disabilities, and a young Association, “Stepinac’s oasis of peace " from Zapresic, was established on the initiative of the community prayer members of Blessed Alojsije Stepinac. It promotes the Christian values: love, peace and kindness toward man, whose life is in any way difficult and trying to live according to Stepinac’s motto, “In you I trust the Lord. Your will be done!
A young volunteer of the Association Kristine Petrusic testifies: "We realized and claim that if there were no sick people, homeless, poor and disabled, human life on this planet Earth would be extinguished long time ago. Humanity would be so increased in arrogance that it would led to extinction. This way to us healthy and full was offered a chance to invoke love not only by words but also by deeds. However, passengers have the opportunity to present their suffering to God for the self sanctification and sanctification of the whole world."
