On Saturday 21.08.2010, four young men: Devid, Boban, Dejan and Ilija, all from the ˝Merciful Father˝ community, received a blessing for the successful completion of rehabilitation in the community. This is, as usual a special day not just for the four of them but for all members of the community who gathered here in ˝Mother’s Village˝ and the two other community houses in Kiseljak (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Stari Trg (Slovenija). What was also special was the renewed meeting of the young men and their parents and relatives who began congregating at 9am that morning. Along with a program of prayer, the parent meeting, lunch and socialising together until 5pm with the closing of the program, the day passed quickly. ˝I am always glad to see my parents again˝ Mark from the community told us. ˝Especially because from the time I have been in the community and worked on myself, I am constantly discovering something new about myself, about the relationships in our family, about things that were painful or can be corrected. For all of these reasons these renewed meetings with my parents are precious to me and the fact that we can share them together.

This summer once again (from 25.07-7.08) the twelfth consecutive work project (work camp) was hosted in ˝Mother´s Village˝ for pilgrims-volunteers from the organisation St. David´s Relief Foundation from the USA (www.stdavids.org). The participants are traditionally  accompanied by franciscans from the community of Franciscan Brothers of the Renewal (www.franciscanfriars.com). The Brothers were responsible for the spiritual part of the program and this time the first week was spent in the creation of work projects needed by ˝Mother´s Village˝. The second week was spent in the prayerful participation with young people at the 21st Youth Festival.

The renovations on the ˝Little St. Teresa˝ preschool are in full force. The end of the works is scheduled for 20.09.2010 when the preschool will begin the new school year in its main rooms. The next steps will be the interior fittings of the additional sleeping rooms as well as the attic rooms.

One of many people with big hearts that help ˝Mothers Village˝ is Mrs. CARMEL HORAN from Ireland. Out of thanks to dear God for all that he did for her (she herself is the mother of two adopted children), she also endeavours to help others with what God gave her and that is her beautiful voice. She works and praises God with her voice in the prayer centre Emanuel in Clonfert, (Ireland) and when she comes to Međugorje, she animates and sings at the Holy Mass for English speaking pilgrims in the parish. She now uses her gift for singing in the creation of a CD album and the holding of concerts with entire proceeds going in aid of assisting various projects in the local region ˙(the organisation SOLAS in Ireland which helps and supports people in crisis and danger of suiciding). Also on a global level ˙(and that is our ˝Mothers Village˝): Aside from that concrete material aid, her aim is to also reach listeners through her voice and help them feel Gods strength which is in all of us. Until now she has released two CDs: ˝I Know Who Holds Tomorrow˝ and ˝Have Courage I Hold You By Your Hand˝ and as she herself testifies she is overwhelmed by the positive reactions of people from all over the world. ˝The lives of those people are touched by the strength of the Gospel from the songs and I know that none of that would be possible without the prayers they are created with.˝

A few days after the 29th Anniversary of Our Lady´s apparitions, the children in the kindergarten were visited by the visionary Marija Pavlović. She spoke to them about her ˝friendship˝ with Our Lady, how Our Lady calls us all to pray and how especially happy she is when she sees a family gather for family prayer together.
